India conjures up images of bright, spicy colors. Layers of gold, and pattern on pattern on pattern.
The Aman New Delhi is a new 5 star hotel and spa in New Delhi that breaks those stereotypes. I love the very subtle hints of Indian design motifs, but overall the feel is contemporary, warm, and global.

Hi Melissa,
I'm not sure how you'd "break in", but I sort of fell into it in that I started out working for a firm that specialized in hotel design and have been doing those types of projects ever since. I'd suggest finding interior design companies that have hotel projects that they're currently working on. That way you get your foot in the door and get to know the ins and outs of hotel design, and get experience.
