This restaurant and banquet facility in Mumbai is named Tote after the existing colonial building that provides it’s foundational base. A series of function and pre-function rooms, both indoor and out, and a restaurant all take inspiration from Serie Architect’s vision of extending the forest canopy inside the building. Structures are hard to delineate from the artificial branches. And lighting provides interesting forest like shading and shadowing for maximum impact.

The restaurant’s motifs are more abstract, and the dark tones help to bring warmth to the double height space. It’s almost as if you’re INSIDE the tree.
