This contemporary Indian restaurant in Washington DC really celebrates Indian culture in a very modern way. The design all hints back to subtle cues. The vast anigre wood panel ceiling and lighting cove idea which dominate the main dining room stem from a tree concept that grows out of a central column.
Banquets and artwork are in vivid tones are inspired by saris, which pop against a neutral white brick backdrop.![]()

I love the booths infront of the window. Like being hidden in some sort of time capsule for the time of a dinner! Cosy.
