This contemporary Indian restaurant in Washington DC really celebrates Indian culture in a very modern way. The design all hints back to subtle cues. The vast anigre wood panel ceiling and lighting cove idea which dominate the main dining room stem from a tree concept that grows out of a central column.
Banquets and artwork are in vivid tones are inspired by saris, which pop against a neutral white brick backdrop.
Amazing booths by the windows inspired by temple forms will no doubt be the most popular seats.
And the swinging arms of display shelves above the bar are inspired by the multi handed Hindu dieties.
