Shawn Hunt

Ok I’ll admit that I first heard of local artist Shawn Hunt through watching the premiere episode of season 2 of Real Housewives of Vancouver.  One of the housewives was shopping for art at Umbrella Gallery and I was taken aback by the originality of these amazing paintings created by one of our own.
Shawn Hunt takes traditional aboriginal motifs and forms, and transforms them into provocative, bold interpretations of contemporary life and issues.
“I want to challenge the viewers’ preconceptions. I like the idea of art being like a catalyst, or a flash point. I think art is most powerful when it poses questions, not when it gives the viewer the answers” – Shawn Hunt, www.shawnhunt.net
Now how do I find a client brave enough to display such true art?
